The Vancouver Police Foundation has received a number of calls from citizens about an aggressive telemarketing campaign for the BC Federation of Police Officers. Telemarketers assure the public that the money they donate will be coming back to fund police projects and charities in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Police Foundation and Vancouver Police Union are not affiliated with the BC Federation of Police Officers. We want the public to clearly understand that money donated will not come back to fund Vancouver Police community initiatives. We encourage citizens to contribute to a charity of choice; if they wish to donate to the Vancouver Police Department, they can do so through the Vancouver Police Union Charitable Foundation or through the Vancouver Police Foundation.

Funds raised by the Vancouver Police Union Charitable Foundation are spent on abused children, or children in need of assistance. Donations are welcome and may be sent to:
