2006 Soccer Camp

The Vancouver Police Soccer Service Club is a program that has been in effect for 18 years. Children from the downtown eastside are given the opportunity to participate in a week long soccer school, where VPD members are volunteer coaches.

In addition, soccer school attendees participate in the Paul Sanghera Memorial Indoor Soccer Tournament, which recognizes VPD Cst. Paul Sanghera, who lost his life in the line of duty over 28 years ago. Annually this tournament helps to raise funds that are then distributed by way of scholarships to deserving youth in the Vancouver School system.

The Vancouver Police Soccer Service Club members volunteer thousands of hours to promote relationships within our community by organizing, participating in and delivering these community based programs.
