Technology & Special Equipment

While the Vancouver Police Foundation does not fund essential policing services or equipment, we are able to help the VPD access state-of-the-art technology and equipment that increases public safety, saves lives, and prevents crime.

We focus on requests for equipment that support VPD’s efforts to build bridges with the community and occasion we consider requests for equipment on a pilot basis, giving VPD the opportunity to test new and important tools before they make it part of their regular operations.

In 2022 we proudly granted $376,940 to programs and initiatives that use unique equipment and valuable technology to help make Vancouver safer for everyone.
