VPD Student Challenge Program

The 17th Annual Vancouver Police Department (VPD)  Student Challenge Program took place from March 16th to March 23rd, 2014. The unique program provides Grade 11 and 12 students from Vancouver-area schools and from all socio-economic and multi-cultural backgrounds, an opportunity to participate in the eight-day “Youth Police Academy”.

The goal of the program is for Vancouver Police members to mentor relationships during programming, but as well to maintain the relationships and provide support for these youth following, and leading them into positive futures and potentially a career in policing. To date, the Vancouver Police Foundation has contributed over $50,000 toward this program.
