The Iconic VPD Canine Calendar
Now in its 16th year, the VPD Canine Calendar continues to capture the heart and heroism of the VPD’s Police Dogs and their handlers through 13 months of powerful, action-packed photography.
Each purchase directly supports BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and the BC Cancer Foundation — two organizations making life-changing impacts across our province. Since 2010, calendar supporters have raised over $600,000 for these charities, helping countless patients and families in need.
This year’s calendar proudly shares Lola’s inspiring story — a brave young girl who overcame severe epilepsy thanks to the expert care at BC Children’s Hospital and the generosity of donors like you.
The 2026 VPD Canine Calendar was brought to life by a dedicated project team including Constables Chris Hudson, Allan Bridges, Vanessa Hallaway, and Graeme Minty under the supervision of Sergeant Joel Tuininga. The stunning photography was captured by Devin Manky, with design and production by Yumi Simonson. Year after year, the Canine Calendar continues to be dedicated to Candy Anfield, whose memory continues to inspire the team’s commitment to giving back.
The Stunning VPD Mounted Unit Calendar
Back for its third edition, the VPD Mounted Unit Calendar showcases the grace, strength, and community spirit of the VPD’s iconic horses and riders — beautifully photographed against Vancouver’s most breathtaking backdrops.
Every dollar raised supports the Vancouver Police Foundation, funding VPD officer-led community safety and engagement programs that fall outside the department’s regular budget. In 2025 alone, the Foundation granted over $5.6 million to 118+ officer-initiated programs — helping youth, seniors, and vulnerable residents across Vancouver.
The Mounted Unit, founded in 1908, remains one of Vancouver’s most beloved public safety icons — patrolling Stanley Park, managing major events, and creating countless positive community connections.
The 2026 VPD Mounted Unit Calendar was created by a talented project team including Constables Kayla Pughe and Sean Farrel under the supervision of Sergeant Conrad Van Dyk. The breathtaking photography was captured by Kristen May, with design and production by Yumi Simonson, who together beautifully showcased the bond between the Mounted Unit’s officers, horses, and the city they proudly serve.
By purchasing a 2026 VPD Hero Calendar, you’re not only celebrating the incredible Canine and Mounted Units — you’re supporting vital causes that make Vancouver a stronger, safer, and more compassionate city.
The Vancouver Police Foundation supports programs and initiatives that fall within three streams: community outreach and engagement (including programs for women, youth and seniors); public and personal safety; and specialized equipment and technology. You can help make Vancouver safer for all by donating to the Vancouver Police Foundation.
