All of us at the Vancouver Police Foundation want to wish you Happy New Year, and tell you a bit about what we did over the last year in the community.
In 2014, the VPF was able to grant over $610,000 to more than 23 projects and initiatives in our community, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our donors, trustees and the public. Among the grants are community outreach programs, equipment for the Vancouver Police Department, and mental health initiatives.
One of the highlights of 2014 was our Night Patrol Gala in February. It was a tremendous success and raised over $2.3 million, including $892,000 for the new VPD Cadet Program. Our KOPS’ Shades for Kids Campaign was also a highlight, with over $265,000 raised through the generous support from the public and business community. The citizens of Vancouver certainly supported the VPD and looked good doing it!
We are looking forward to a fantastic 2015, and want to thank everyone for their continued support. We invite you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram or Google+ for the latest information and photos of the work that we do, or sign up for our newsletter right here on our website!
All of us at the VPF wish you the best in 2015!
