The Vancouver Police Department and Vancouver Police Foundation were pleased to participate in the Christmas Wish Breakfast at the Pan Pacific Hotel! The VPD donated nearly 300 toys to the event on December 11, with the VPF adding a further 85 to the donation. The 27th annual breakfast benefited the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, which helps needy families in the community. This year, more than 40,000 pounds of toys were donated to the bureau.
VPD Chief Constable Jim Chu and the members of the VPD were piped into the breakfast by Piper Sandy Marshall, who played Christmas favourites as the toys were placed in the ever-growing stack of donations.
